Hello
My name is Vish Patel and this is my design and development portfolio. I'm a full-stack JavaScript developer who also likes to experiment with vector design and photo manipulation.
On here I mostly exibit the designs I've created in my spare time, with the site itself demonstrating my web development skills and practice. This little side project of mine also acts as a personal sandbox where I can play around with any new knowledge or concepts I've learnt or come across during my career, whether that be code improvements, new UX features or improving web standards.
My passions within the field of developement are mostly based around aesthetics and user experience, as well as writing functional, maintainable and extendable code. I'm also a massive fan of learning and experimenting with different languages and technologies.
This website is written using the React based Gatsby for static site optimisation, Styled Components to handle the styling and the reusability that comes with it, and Contentful to manage the assets and copy.
Some of my personal favourite technologies to work with are Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL and Serverless.
